Who in the hell can blame Tim Boyle for moving the company, so as not to get fleeced (No pun intended) by the City of Portland. Columbia already pays millions of dollars in all kinds of taxes to the state and provides many jobs. Just be glad that he doesn't move the company out of the state. As far as spending your money to support North Face, (a California based company), to teach Columbia Sportswear, (an Oregon based company) a lesson. Great thinking, fool, California thanks you.

You are right, uoduck70, but when has that ever stopped the masses from purchasing Outbacks and Quattros they don't need, $5k mountain bikes which collect dust on a well exposed living room wall, and climbing and backpacking gear which doesn't see the light of day? This product will sell, but to any real outdoorsman.
