Like many of our customers, Pauline Link has a spirit of adventure. Over the last couple of years, she has fulfilled her life-long aim to work as a volunteer abroad. Having reached a point in her life where she felt able to do this, Pauline was willing to go and work anywhere, as long as she was using her time and skills to help someone.

The preparations have all been stressful last minute affairs from the acquisition of transport to the blagging of spare parts which was only completed about 2 hours before Chris sallied forth from fair Harrogate. As a result many nerves have been frayed and some years possibly chopped off our life span. In fact it only dawned on us as we were driving into the circuit that we would actually have to drive across the better part of half the land mass of the earth and that the planning was all over now and it was time to see if we were really up to it or just all mouth and no trousers.
The aim of the event is to Inspire Involve. Featuring competitions and professional demonstrations in rock climbing, orienteering, kayaking, mountain biking, running, mountain boarding, skateboarding, slacklining, adventure racing and more, visitors are able to watch incredibly talented sports-people of all ages at the top of their game, and then take part in the very sports they have just been inspired by.
