Didn't really believe that and I'm convinced the delaying tactic was because they were trying to flog faulty products. I won't go back again - you offer crap service, you lose business. I'm glad I'm now being given the opportunity to tell others of my experience!

@xyzzy - I completely missed when this transition happened for Blacks. I've had a Blacks rucksack for about 25 years, it's still in great condition. I decided to go back there a couple of years ago to buy a smaller rucksack.

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from Blacks. Their shops in London are much nicer than the example here and the price and quality of the goods is fine for the casual buyer. Not everyone wants £300 worth of North Face gear for a weekend in the country.
